Be honest now: Do you find yourself kind of guessing what your clients need in their training programs, and then just sort of making it up as you go?
Or maybe you have a fairly good understanding of program design and how to help your clients improve specific areas of their fitness, but you still feel like you lack a structured system and a long-term plan?
I’ll admit, that’s how I felt for a long time as a coach: Like I was sort of faking it until I made it, hoping my training prescriptions would translate to appropriate gains for my clients.
I have spoken with dozens of OPEX CCP Coaches and each one has said the same thing about OPEX: The OPEX Coach Certificate Program (CCP) greatly improved their effectiveness and efficiency at both assessing and designing individual programs for their clients, as well as build their confidence as a coach.
Much of this, OPEX CCP Coaches say, comes down to finally having a system and structure—a way to add a method to the madness, so to speak.
“For me, CCP was my first introduction to having thoughtful coaching structure. I didn’t have a system for assessment before that. I was a group fitness coach and just guided people through a workout, so learning about assessment was essential to me,” he said. “That, and having structure and an approach to program design was absolutely key.”
If you’re not quite ready to dive into CCP yet, but you want to stick your toe in the water, check out the upcoming program design workshops we’re offering this fall.
