WHY ARE YOU A FITNESS COACH?
I became a fitness coach because I believe in the transformative power of health and wellness. I’m passionate about leading by example and showing others that it’s possible to achieve their fitness goals, no matter where they start. My mission is to help people become the best version of themselves—stronger, healthier, and more confident. I love being a part of someone’s journey, celebrating their progress, and helping them realize their potential. Fitness isn’t just about physical change; it’s about building resilience, self-confidence, and a lifestyle that supports long-term happiness.
HOW HAS CCP SHAPED YOUR COACHING PRACTICE?
The OPEX Coaching Program and CoachRx app have been instrumental in shaping my coaching practice. The education and mentorship I received through the program provided a solid foundation in understanding the principles of individual program design and client-centered coaching. It helped me see the bigger picture of fitness, connecting exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle in a way that is both effective and sustainable for clients. The streamlined tools and frameworks offered by CoachRx have allowed me to design individualized programs more efficiently, ensuring every client’s unique needs and goals are met. Beyond program design, the program taught me how to build a sustainable coaching lifestyle, one that prioritizes balance, personal growth, and the ability to lead by example. Ultimately, it reinforced my belief that quality coaching is about creating meaningful relationships and guiding clients toward long-term success.
WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE TRAINING SESSION?
My ultimate training session starts with some big compound lifts with my hubby - squats, pull-ups, deadlifts, and bench press. These exercises are the foundation, challenging strength and stability while hitting all the major muscle groups. After that, I’d move into accessory work to target specific areas, focusing on balance, mobility, and muscle endurance. To finish, I’d take my dog for a 2-mile walk or run through the beautiful trails at the Botanical Gardens in West Virginia. There’s nothing better than enjoying a sunny day surrounded by nature, decompressing after a great workout, and sharing that time with my pup. It’s the perfect mix of strength, movement, and practicing mindfulness.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NOURISHING MEAL?
My all-time favorite meal is Huevos Rancheros with red and green chile (aka “Christmas”) from Garcia’s Kitchen in New Mexico. But I also love a basic meal consisting of grilled chicken and broccoli!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF THE GYM?
Outside of the gym, I love spending time outdoors, especially taking walks with my dog at the Botanical Gardens or going on hikes in the trails of beautiful West Virginia. It’s such a peaceful way to connect with nature and my family. I also enjoy playing volleyball and tennis; both keep me active and are so much fun to share with others and build community. I also enjoy going to concerts and spending time with friends. And every now and then, I like to get creative with some face painting; it is a fun and artistic outlet that brings a lot of joy and allows me to tap into my creative side!
