This 2-day workshop will build confidence in your program design capabilities and teach you how to properly progress your clients and deliver results utilizing the bench, squat and deadlift as the foundation of your program design. Act now as spots are limited.

This workshop expands upon the principles and programming techniques taught in the Programming Strength Digital Course. OPEX Programming: Strength is the last practical strength course you will ever need. Gone are the days of plugging numbers into a templated spreadsheet with weak results. This course will teach you the theory on how to build strength and will also teach you step by step how to write strength programs.

About the instructors

Carl Hardwick Program Design Workshops
Carl Hardwick


OPEX COO Carl Hardwick has dedicated his life to health and fitness. Already as a teenager, Hardwick lived at the gym. A 3-time All-Conference football player at Saint Mary’s University, Hardwick became passionate about becoming the most effective coach. This led the former U.S. Army veteran to buddy up with world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin to complete the PICP and then to complete his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). While running the Army fitness program for his Battalion and a stint in Afghanistan, Hardwick was introduced to OPEX Founder James FitzGerald. Sold by the OPEX individual program design approach, Carl went on to open multiple OPEX-licensed gyms before accepting his position as COO. Today, Hardwick is an integral part of the growing OPEX engine that is using the Coach Certificate Program (CCP) to change the face of fitness by professionalizing the fitness coach.

Keegan Martin


OPEX Programming Strength instructor, American Record holding powerlifter, and CCP Coach Keegan Martin, reveals his collective knowledge on how to progress clients through a lifecycle of strength for health with longevity as a primary focus. Across 15 years of coaching with over 250 live seminars taught, he has progressed over 30 clients to national qualifying totals. Even more importantly, he has seen many of those clients continue to enjoy life well into their later years.

OPEX Programming Strength instructor and CCP Coach Kevin Don is a World Class Strength and Conditioning coach who has spent the last 5 years delivering over 200 strength training seminars in 18 countries. Kevin trained alongside remarkable athletes and coaches including but not limited to: The Greatest Powerlifter of all time, Ed Coan, Renowned strength coach, Mark Rippetoe, Strongest Woman in the Worlds, Liefia Ingalls and 5 times World’s Strongest Man, Magnus Ver Magnusson. Kevin brings a breadth of coaching experiences along with deep knowledge of the scientific principles of training.
