COACH CONFIDENCE TIP #2: HOW TO HANDLE COMPLEXITY
Honor the basics!
If you’re serious about making a positive impact on the lives of those around you and getting your clients results that last, then...
stop.
overcomplicating.
fitness.
When we put complexity on a pedestal we do two things:
Undercut our confidence as coaches
Undermine the results of our clients
The client side first
The reality is that most people need to train movement patterns, do some breathing work, and create great lifestyle habits. They don’t need a fancy new Smolov squat cycle.
In fact, those advanced training & nutrition protocols that we might think our clients want are actually burning them out, overwhelming them, and preventing them from finding sustainability.
And if it’s not sustainable, they won’t stick with it. Hello, no results.
Now, the coach side
What we need to know as coaches to provide the simple, effective, and sustainable programs that our clients need is, well, not that much.
Newsflash—you don’t need to be a walking encyclopedia to be a really incredible coach who makes a difference in your community.
That’s why in the OPEX Coaching Certificate Program (CCP), our mission is to teach you what you actually need to know (and not what you might think you need to know).
Coaching can feel complex and overwhelming, but when you boil it down to principles, get some solid hands-on experience working with real people, and have a mentor you can trust to answer, you’ll be amazed at how simple it can be.
And we believe that there is a huge amount of freedom and creativity to find in that simplicity.
If you’re the kind of coach who wants to give your clients the exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching they need to succeed (and not just what sounds smart or looks sexy on social media), then you’d make a great fit for CCP.
